Thank you to all our local Swanage customers who have patiently waited all week for us to finish our Chocolate House refresh, which was mostly the cafe. Whilst the external frontage hasn't changed, what you will see inside has, and it is just the start. There will be more upgrades of our cafe furniture to come over time.
Not only have we given our cafe a refresh, we have also made some changes to our drinks line-up. Chocpresso is properly back, think espresso but in an intense chocolate shot which is naturally vegan-friendly, and we have added a new friend to accompany it, the Chociatto. Think macchiato but in chocolate.
We have also switched our coffee supplier. Much as we liked Union Coffee, it felt time to work with a more local company, so we are working again with Moonroast Coffee based just outside Winchester. We actually served their coffee in our Winchester Chocolate House when we first opened, but they weren't able to service all our stores, so we switched to a larger company.
Now that Moonroast can supply all our stores, we are delighted to be working with them again. Their coffee has been going down well in Winchester since their refit, and the coffee they are supplying us also won a Great Taste Award this year. So not only will you get to enjoy award-winning hot chocolates in our cafes, but award-winning coffee as well.
We will be open again tomorrow, Saturday 27th September, from 9.30am, with treats for all our customers over the weekend including:
- Free hot chocolates to the first 10 customers to say this magic phrase to our team in store: 'I'm a like minded chocolate lover!' with extra points for giving them a thumbs up
- Free samples of our September chocolate of the month, Chilli Con Choc, also winner of a 2 Star Gold Great Taste Award this year, and our new mini chocolate bugs which you will find hiding inside our new pumpkins
- A lucky dip with guaranteed prizes for every customer spending £20 or more in our shop
- The chance to win a medium box of 16 chocolates of your choice in our free prize draw, just by tagging us in a photo on Instagram (chococochocolates)
